Restaurant Manager

Farm House Local - We are a vibrant, successful breakfast and lunch restaurant with a strong community connection in the heart of downtown Larkspur. Our passion for locally sourced fresh foods on our seasonal menu, our drive to provide an elevated experience for our loyal customers, and a team-oriented approach with low staff turnover define our culture. We are looking for the right person with a passion for a high-quality restaurant experience to manage day to day restaurant operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage all day to day operations of the restaurant including:

  • Ensure all guests feel welcome and are given attentive, friendly service at all times.

  • Ensure high quality, timely delivery of food orders

  • Work with back of house on expediting food orders

  • Identify and communicate daily tasks to staff

  • Communicate with back of house to ensure accurate food inventory; communicate with suppliers on daily food and supply orders

  • Responsible for accounts payable, payroll and employee scheduling

  • Timely, professional communication with clients via email, phone, and in person

  • Maintain positive, proactive communication with all vendors and employees

  • Revise job descriptions for all restaurant positions.

REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:

  • 5 years front of house experience required

  • Some back of house experience preferred

  • Exceptional guest service and communication skills

  • Experience with payroll, scheduling, and ordering

  • Ability to effectively problem solve and make decisions independently

  • Strong attention to detail as well as the ability to see the larger, long term picture

  • Ability to thrive in a multi-faceted, fast-paced environment

  • Self-motivated, willing to take initiative with a strong sense of vision

  • Solid understanding of POS systems

  • Computer proficiency

  • Serve Safe Restaurant Manager certification

  • Ability to stand and walk around a restaurant for 8-10 hours

  • Preferred hours 7:00 - 3:30, with some flexibility; minimum of 40 hours per week required, 5 days per week

COMPENSATION:

In general, the hours required in managing a restaurant exceed 40 hours per week. While we are open to a 40-hour work week, with an hourly pay schedule including bonuses, this position will pay approximately $68,000 per year based on a 50-hour work week. Excellent opportunity for someone who wants to eventually own or partner in a restaurant.
